About This Access Site
Located at 6025 Florida A1A in Fort Pierce, this government-owned boat ramp provides convenient access to the Indian River Lagoon and Little Mud Creek. The facility features a 2-lane concrete ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Two freshwater rinse stations are available for washing down boats after use, though boaters should bring their own hose. The ramp sits on the southwest side of the Little Mud Creek bridge, approximately 1.9 miles north of the local power plant along the coastal highway.

The launch is an excellent starting point for exploring the Indian River Lagoon's shallow, sheltered waters—ideal conditions for kayaking and canoeing. From here, paddlers can access Little Mud Creek and venture toward Blind Creek Beach, with opportunities for wildlife viewing and birdwatching along the way. As a saltwater launch with direct lagoon access, this site is suitable for both casual paddlers and boaters seeking to explore the scenic coastal areas of Hutchinson Island South. The facility is government-owned and open for general public use.
