Block Hole Access

Block Hole Access provides a concrete boat ramp for launching onto the Castor River Diversion Channel near Whitewater in Cape Girardeau County. The facility features a concrete ramp and expanded parking area, making it a practical put-in point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The diversion channel connects to the Mississippi River, offering paddlers access to both local waterway exploration and longer river routes.

To reach Block Hole Access, take Highway 25 west through Delta, Missouri, then continue west on Route N several miles until you cross the Diversion Channel. The concrete ramp and parking lot provide convenient boat launching, though it's advisable to check current conditions before your visit. This access point is maintained by the Missouri Department of Conservation in cooperation with the Little River Drainage District, supporting recreational fishing and boating opportunities in the region.
