About This Access Site
The Bloomer boat ramp provides public access to Lake Como (also known as Bloomer Mill Pond), a 98-acre impoundment in Chippewa County. This shallow lake, with a maximum depth of 11 feet, is ideal for recreational paddling and motorboating. The access point is located in the town of Bloomer and serves as the primary launching point for exploring this quiet water body.

To reach the ramp, take Highway 53 North to the Highway 40 exit, then follow Highway 40 North through Bloomer. Turn left onto Highway 64 North/West and continue 3/10 of a mile to 190th Avenue where the access site is located. Lake Como offers fishing opportunities for panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike, making it popular with anglers. The calm, shallow conditions make this site suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats, though paddlers should be prepared for wind exposure on the open water.
