Blue Creek

Blue Creek offers a primitive boat ramp for paddlers and boaters accessing Big Blue Creek in Moore County, Texas. Located on the northwest side of the area off FM 1913, this is a non-reservable, day-use facility with vault-toilet facilities but no drinking water or amenities. The site is surrounded by cottonwood and soapberry trees, providing some shade in this arid region. Note that ADA accessibility is not available at this location.

This access point serves as a launching point into a calm water system, making it suitable for recreational kayaking and canoeing. The area experiences busy periods during peak fishing times, particularly on weekend mornings, so arrive early if possible and park on the grass away from the paved ramp area to avoid congestion. Big Creek is part of the broader Lake Meredith National Recreation Area system in the Texas Panhandle, offering a peaceful paddling experience amid the plains landscape.

This camping area is an off-road vehicle and horseback riding area on the northwest side of the lake off FM 1913. There is no drinking water or flush toilets; vault-evaporator toilet only. Off-road use is in the creek bed ONLY. This area is surrounded with plush cottonwood and soapberry trees.
