About This Access Site
Located in Crawfordville on the shores of Apalachee Bay, this government-owned public ramp provides saltwater access for kayakers, canoeists, and small boats. The facility features a single launching lane with a floating dock positioned to the side of the ramp, making it suitable for smaller watercraft. Parking is limited to approximately 5 boat trailer spaces, so arrive early during peak season. Portable restrooms are available on-site, though availability may vary.

The ramp's proximity to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge—one of Florida's oldest refuges established in 1931—makes it an excellent jumping-off point for exploring shallow coastal waters and experiencing important wildlife habitat. Paddlers should be prepared for saltwater conditions typical of Apalachee Bay and plan accordingly with proper navigation and weather awareness. Given the limited parking and compact facility size, this ramp works best for smaller groups and lighter-duty launches.
