**Access Overview**
Blue Springs Creek Conservation Area provides fair access to the Meramec River via Thickety Ford Road in Sullivan. Note that there is **no boat ramp** at this location—this is a walk-in/carry-in access point. The former low-water bridge has been removed, though pilings remain in the water, so use caution when launching. This is a state-owned conservation area open to the public from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, though boat launching is permitted 24 hours a day.
**Best For**
This site works best for kayakers and canoeists who are comfortable hand-launching their vessels. Given the lack of developed ramp infrastructure, plan to carry your boat from your vehicle to the water's edge. The Meramec River offers scenic paddling through Missouri's Ozark region, and this access point provides entry to a less-developed stretch compared to nearby improved ramps like Meramec State Park (approximately 5 miles downstream at mile 83.2).
**Planning Your Visit**
Arrive early with appropriate footwear for wading; water levels and seasonal conditions will affect launch difficulty. For a more developed facility with vehicle parking and improved ramps, consider nearby alternatives like Sappington Bridge or Meramec State Park. Check current Meramec River conditions before paddling, as water levels and current speed vary significantly with rainfall and season.
