Blue West Campground

**Important Note:** Despite its location overlooking Lake Meredith, Blue West Campground does **not** offer boat ramp access to the water. There are no docks, launch ramps, or water fill stations at this site. This is a scenic campground only, suitable for overnight stays with picnic areas and excellent lake views, but it is not a practical access point for launching kayaks, canoes, or boats.

**For Water Access:** If you're planning to paddle on Lake Meredith, you'll need to use one of the dedicated boat ramps at nearby access areas such as Harbor Bay Campground or Chimney Hollow Campground, both within 10 miles of Blue West. Lake Meredith National Recreation Area headquarters is located in Fritch (419 E. Broadway) and can provide current information on water conditions and operational access points. Contact the park at (806) 857-3151 for details on which ramps are currently available and best suited for your watercraft.

A caprock campground, overlooking Lake Meredith. Access to shoreline is difficult. This campground is located north of the lake off FM Road 1913. These campgrounds have excellent views of the lake and offer picnic tables and shade shelters. This area is a great place to view the sunsets of the Texas Panhandle.
