Located on Lake Umatilla (the Columbia River impoundment created by John Day Lock and Dam), Boardman Marina Park offers convenient boat ramp access in Morrow County near the town of Boardman. The facility features a boat ramp and basin suitable for kayaks, canoes, and larger vessels. A sandy beach area just west of the baseball field provides an alternative shallow-water launch point and is popular for exploring the submerged remains of old Boardman before the reservoir was filled. Parking is available at the marina park on West Marina Drive.
This location provides access to the broader Lake Umatilla system, a wide, slower-moving impoundment ideal for recreational paddling and boating. The area is also adjacent to the Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge, a network of lands bordering both Oregon and Washington shorelines, offering opportunities for wildlife viewing and exploration. Annual parking passes are available through the Port office, and seasonal boating amenities may be available depending on current operations. Contact the local Port office for details on current facilities, fees, and seasonal availability.
