Bob Lake Campground offers a convenient concrete boat ramp with free launching for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats accessing this 133-acre lake in the Ontonagon Ranger District. The ramp includes dedicated parking and is located adjacent to day-use facilities including a picnic area and beach. Bob Lake is shallow, making it suitable for recreational paddling and fishing.
The site is part of an established campground with full amenities, including camping loops, cabins, dock rentals, and private boat slips for those planning overnight trips. A hand pump provides drinking water near the campground entrance. Non-campers can purchase day-use access to the boat landing separately. The location also serves as the trailhead for the 1.2-mile Beaver Lodge Interpretive Trail, offering paddlers an opportunity to explore the area on foot before or after time on the water.
