This boat ramp provides access to where the historic Bois Brule River meets Lake Superior near Brule, Wisconsin. The site serves as the takeout point for paddlers completing the scenic 43.9-mile river journey through the Brule River State Forest, as well as a launch point for boaters exploring Lake Superior's shoreline. The final 18.2-mile section of river from Pine Tree Landing to the mouth features more open, slower-moving water typical of the lower reaches.
Paddlers should note that this location marks the transition from river to open water, so conditions will vary significantly based on Lake Superior's weather and wave activity. The site is popular with kayakers and canoeists finishing multi-day or day trips down the Bois Brule, famous for its trout fishing, canoeing opportunities, and scenic beauty.
