Boom Bay Boat Landing

Boom Bay is a public boat landing located on the northeast side of Lake Poygan near Larsen in Winnebago County. The site features one public dock, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters launching onto this 11-foot-deep lake. The ramp provides straightforward access to explore Lake Poygan's waters, which span both Winnebago and Waushara Counties.

Before launching, check current water conditions and be aware that bacteria levels can fluctuate based on wind and wave action. Avoid any visible algae blooms and plan your paddling accordingly. Lake Poygan's relatively shallow maximum depth means conditions can change quickly, so calm mornings are typically ideal for paddling.
