The facility features a paved boat ramp with an attached dock, making it easy to launch kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Parking is available for up to 10 vehicles at the access point, which is located at the south end of the recreation area off Boot Lake Road.

Boot Lake is a seepage lake with a maximum depth of 38 feet, providing a calm water environment suitable for recreational paddling and boating. A $5 recreation use fee applies for access to the boat landing. This is a good jumping-off point for exploring the lake and nearby waterways in the area. Plan to arrive early on busy weekends, as parking is limited to 10 spaces.
