Boot Lake's public boat ramp is located at the campground in Goldenrod and features a paved launch with a boarding dock, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats up to approximately 12-18 feet. The facility includes parking for 10 vehicles, providing convenient access to this 385-acre lake. There are no launch fees unless a vehicle permit is required by the park.
The lake offers good fishing opportunities for walleye, northern pike, largessel bass, musky, and panfish, with a maximum depth of 109 feet. Note that the unimproved access point on the east shore (off Norell Avenue North) has been closed to boat launching, and the west shore shoulder is too steep for trailer launches. Plan to use the main ramp at the campground for reliable access to the water.
