The Boundary Dam boat ramp in Metaline provides a concrete launch with an accessible boarding dock and tie-down area for accessing Boundary Lake (Boundary Reservoir). This year-round facility offers reliable water access, though winter conditions may affect road plowing and water availability. The ramp is located off Boundary Dam Road near Highway 31 in Metaline and serves as the primary public launch for this reservoir.
Boundary Lake supports a healthy fishery including Smallmouth Bass, Brown Trout, Walleye, and Yellow Perch, making it a popular destination for anglers. Note that shoreline access is generally limited to the immediate area around the boat launch. Nearby, the Forebay Recreation Area (Boundary Dam Campground) offers free camping with both RV and tent sites, though the Grandview Boat-in Camp is currently closed due to hazard trees.
