About This Access Site
Brevard POW/MIA Park, formerly known as Pineda Landing, is a 4.58-acre community access point on the Indian River Lagoon just north of the Pineda Causeway in Melbourne. The park features a 2-lane motorized boat ramp and a dedicated non-motorized launch area, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small recreational boats. The facility includes shoreline parking for vehicles and trailers, along with a small community center.

This location provides convenient access to the Indian River Lagoon, a shallow, brackish estuary popular for paddling and fishing. The park's dual-launch design means paddlers can access the water without competing with motorized traffic, and the non-motorized area is particularly well-suited for kayakers and canoeists exploring the lagoon's calm waters and wildlife viewing opportunities. The site's location along U.S. 1 and Pineda Causeway makes it easily accessible from the Melbourne area.
