Brighton Marina offers a boat ramp for accessing the Nehalem River and Nehalem Bay near Rockaway Beach. The ramp is narrow and covered, making it better suited for smaller boats and trailers. If you're towing a large RV, nearby alternatives like the Wheeler Marina or Nehalem Bay State Park ramp may be more convenient. Note that boat wash-off facilities are not available on-site, so plan accordingly.
The marina provides both vehicle-based and walk-in access. Paddlers can also reach the water by walking south from Nehalem Bay State Park's boat ramp area. The surrounding waters support clamming (softshell and purple varnish clams), and the site offers proximity to scenic attractions like Cape Meares National Wildlife Refuge and Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge. For emergencies, call 911; non-emergency services can reach the Tillamook County Sheriff at (503) 842-2561 for water-related issues.
