About This Access Site
Brookfield City Lake is a 102–118 acre impoundment in Linn County, Missouri, offering convenient public boat access via a concrete boat ramp on the west side of the lake near the main entrance. The facility, developed through the Missouri Conservation Department's Community Assistance Program, includes a newly renovated boat ramp (completed in 2012), ample parking, restrooms, and picnic areas. This makes it an accessible launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats.

**Operating Details:** The lake enforces a 10 hp speed restriction for larger motors, meaning idle speed only—ideal conditions for paddlers and those seeking quieter recreational use. A second boat ramp is available on the west side of the dam if the primary launch is congested. The lake also features a campground and fishing docks, making it suitable for day trips or extended visits. Note that the lake was originally constructed in 1959 as a municipal water supply, so water levels and conditions may fluctuate seasonally.
