Bruce L. Anderson Recreation Area

Located 1.75 miles west of York, the Bruce L. Anderson Recreation Area provides access to Recharge Lake via a concrete boat ramp on the south shore at Anderson Cove Campground. The facility includes a large paved parking lot with designated slip-holder spaces, plus additional gravel overflow parking and seasonal dry storage options. This is a developed recreation complex suitable for motorboats, kayaks, and canoes.

The access point serves as part of a larger recreation area managed by the Upper Big Blue Natural Resources District. A day-use fee applies. Beyond the boat ramp, the area offers camping (both RV and tent sites), a day-use beach, and hiking opportunities, making it a good base for multi-day water adventures. Note that Cemetery Point Marina, located at the first entry after the fee station, does not allow trailers beyond that point due to limited parking, though it does offer convenience docks for day-use visitors.
