Brush Hollow State Wildlife Area offers a boat ramp providing access to Brush Hollow Creek and Brush Hollow Reservoir. This scenic reservoir and its surrounding wetlands are popular destinations for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft.
The boat ramp is located off Fremont County Road 123, west of the town of Penrose, Colorado. A valid hunting or fishing license, or SWA pass, is required for visitors aged 16 and older to access the area. There are no fees to use the boat ramp or other facilities maintained by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Brush Hollow Reservoir is a relatively small but scenic body of water, fed by Brush Hollow Creek. The calm, sheltered waters are well-suited for leisurely paddling and wildlife viewing. Anglers may find opportunities for catching cold and warm water fish species.
