Buck Lake

Buck Lake is a 492-acre lake in Itasca County, Minnesota, located approximately 10 miles north of Nashwauk. This access site features a concrete boat ramp on the southwest shore, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 31 feet and offers 180 littoral acres, providing a moderate-sized paddling destination for various skill levels.

**Important Access Information:** This is an unimproved launch area with **limited daily permits (two available per day)**. Advance reservations are required at least 48 hours prior to your visit and must be made before 6 a.m. Be sure to secure your permit ahead of time, as availability is restricted. The concrete ramp provides reliable water access, though you should plan accordingly given the permit limitations.
