About This Access Site
Bucks Lake Marina offers a convenient boat ramp for accessing the scenic Bucks Lake in the Plumas National Forest. This high-elevation reservoir is popular with kayakers, canoeists, and power boaters alike.

The boat ramp is open to the public and can accommodate a variety of watercraft, with a minimum boat length of 14 feet. There is ample parking available for vehicles with trailers. However, the marina does not have any boarding floats or carry-down walkways, so paddlers may need to launch directly from the ramp.

Bucks Lake is known for its beautiful mountain scenery and offers over 17 miles of shoreline to explore. Several other public boat ramps are available around the lake, including at Sandy Point Day Use Area and Bucks Lakeshore Resort. Nearby campgrounds like Whitehorse Campground and Meadow Camp Campground provide convenient overnight options for those looking to spend more time on the water.
