Bucks Lakeshore Resort provides a convenient boat ramp and access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters on the scenic Bucks Lake. The paved boat ramp can accommodate trailers up to 25 feet long, and there are around 20 parking spaces available for vehicles with trailers. A boarding float is present to assist with launching and loading boats.
Bucks Lake itself is a 17-mile reservoir located in the Plumas National Forest. It offers excellent fishing for species like Mackinaw, Kokanee, and Rainbow Trout, as well as opportunities for hiking, kayaking, and other water sports. Several other public boat ramps are available around the lake, including at Sandy Point Day Use Area and Bucks Lake Marina. Nearby campgrounds like Whitehorse Campground and Meadow Camp Campground provide easy access to the lake and surrounding recreation areas.
Whether you're planning a day of paddling, fishing, or cruising the lake, Bucks Lakeshore Resort provides a well-equipped, public access point to enjoy the natural beauty of Bucks Lake. The on-site general store and bar also offer amenities and supplies for your time on the water.
