Located near Bandon on the lower Coquille River, Bullards Beach State Park offers boat launch access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The ramp is situated just north of Bullards Bridge on the west side of Highway 101, providing convenient access to the scenic lower river and nearby estuarine waters. From the ramp, paddlers can explore upstream along the Coquille as it sweeps past Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, or venture downstream toward the river mouth and coastal areas.
The site provides access to a relatively sheltered section of river suitable for various paddling skill levels, with opportunities to observe wildlife in the adjacent marshes and refuges. Nearby amenities include picnic areas and beach access within the state park. Note that day-use permits are not currently being issued for portions of Bullards Beach State Park, so check ahead for any facility updates. The area's proximity to both Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge and South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve makes it an excellent base for exploring the lower Coquille River estuary and its diverse ecosystems.
