Bully Creek Campground offers a well-maintained concrete boat ramp (20 feet wide) with dock access to Bully Creek Reservoir, located about 8 miles northwest of where Bully Creek meets the Malheur River near Dennis, Oregon. The facility features a two-lane ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger recreational boats. The campground operates seasonally (April through October) and includes 33 campsites, day-use areas with covered shelters, ample parking, and a swimming beach—making it convenient for extended trips or day outings.
The reservoir offers good fishing opportunities for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, and crappie, with relatively calm water conditions typical of impoundments. Paddlers should note the site is fairly remote, located about 10 miles outside Vale, Oregon in Malheur County, so plan accordingly with supplies. Cell service can be spotty in the area. For current information on fees, hours, and seasonal availability, contact the facility at 541-473-2969.
