About This Access Site
Burke Lake South is a year-round boat ramp access point located in the Quincy Lakes Wildlife Area Unit near George in Grant County, Washington. This access site provides vehicle launch capability during most of the year, though vehicle access is closed from October 1 through February 28—during this winter period, access is walk-in only. The ramp serves paddlers and boaters accessing Burke Lake, a 218-acre impoundment with 5.25 miles of shoreline.

Burke Lake offers a variety of recreational opportunities including fishing for yellow perch and crappie. The site features fishing infrastructure including accessible fishing bulkheads and a fishing pier designed for persons with disabilities. Paddlers should note that this is part of the larger Quincy Lakes Wildlife Recreation Area, which includes several other impoundments (Evergreen Reservoir, Quincy, Babcock Ridge, and Stand Coffin Lakes) in the area. Be prepared for seasonal closures and plan accordingly if visiting during late fall and winter months.
