**Bush Lake** is a 171-acre lake in Hennepin County offering convenient public boat access from the West Bush Lake Park launch point. The lake has a maximum depth of 28 feet with clear water, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats (up to 6 horsepower). The boat ramp accommodates 12-18 foot boats, with some ramps handling larger vessels.
The access area is part of West Bush Lake Park, which offers excellent amenities beyond water access. Paddlers and boaters can enjoy a 4.4-mile loop trail around the lake for hiking and biking, picnic areas, fishing piers, a swimming beach, and playground facilities. The park is operated by Three Rivers Park District in cooperation with the City of Bloomington. There are no launch fees unless a vehicle permit is required for park entry.
