Bushkill

The Bushkill Access provides a convenient launch point on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River, located approximately three miles north of Bushkill in Pike County. This Pennsylvania Fish and Boating Commission site features a paved boat ramp, restrooms, and parking for 25 vehicles. The facility is situated within the scenic Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and is easily found by searching "Bushkill Boat Launch" in GPS. Parking fees apply seasonally (Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend), and contact information is available at (570) 588-2451.

The Delaware River at this location is a major waterway—the eighth-order stream drains 13,521 square miles and maintains an average flow of over 30,000 cubic feet per second. With an average gradient of 2.7 feet per mile and velocity of 3.11 feet per second, the river offers moderate current suitable for kayakers and canoeists of varying skill levels. This section flows through the heart of the scenic Middle Delaware, providing access to approximately 40 miles of National Scenic and Recreational River corridor. The nearby Bushkill Meeting Center (visitor center) offers additional amenities including restrooms and park information. Several campgrounds are available within 10 miles for those planning extended trips.
