Butte Des Morts Village Access

The Ninth Street Boat Launch at Butte des Morts Village provides convenient public access to Lake Butte des Morts, a large 8,581-acre lake in Winnebago County. The ramp features a well-maintained blacktop and concrete launch with a one-way looped access design and turnouts available for backing down to the water. While the facility does not include boarding docks, boaters can board from the retaining walls along the launch area.

Lake Butte des Morts is relatively shallow with a maximum depth of 9 feet, making it suitable for various watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. The lake supports a healthy fishery with species including walleye, musky, pike, bass, and panfish.
