Lake Marion is a large reservoir ideal for paddlers seeking calm-water recreation. The launch provides access to the upper portions of the lake near Birch Branch of Wyboo Creek, offering opportunities for both day trips and exploration. The presence of a courtesy dock and multiple ramps makes this a convenient staging area for various water activities. Paddlers should note that restroom facilities are not available on-site, so plan accordingly. The Santee National Wildlife Refuge (15,000 acres) is nearby, providing additional recreational opportunities for visitors to the area.
