**Location & Access:** C-17 Bloomery Run is a public boat launch located at the Forks of Cacapon in Hampshire County, West Virginia. This WVDNR-maintained access site features a boat ramp, pavilion, and electric hookups for campers on approximately 1/4 acre of flat, usable land adjacent to deep water. The site is well-suited for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats on the Cacapon River.
**River Character:** The Bloomery Run section sits on the upper reaches of the Cacapon River and is known for its scenic beauty. Paddlers should expect riverwide ledges, fast water, and sharp bends with major rapids—making this a more technical section suitable for intermediate to experienced paddlers. The area is also popular with anglers targeting smallmouth bass and catfish.
**Nearby Amenities:** Two campgrounds are located within 10 miles of the access site: Purslane Run Hiker-Biker Overnight (HBO) Campsite and the reservable Paw Paw Tunnel Campsite. The on-site pavilion and camping hookups make C-17 convenient for paddlers planning multi-day trips on the Cacapon River.
