About This Access Site
Cable Lake is a 159-acre lake in Bayfield County with a maximum depth of 43 feet, offering a public boat landing for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The lake supports panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike, making it a popular spot for fishing and recreational paddling. To access the launch, take West Cable Lake Road out of Cable, then turn right on Cable Lake Landing Road and proceed to the boat ramp.

The Cable Lake access point is part of the Two Lakes Campground area, which manages facilities for both Cable Lake and nearby Bass Lake. A day-use boat launch fee of $5 applies (or free with overnight camping reservations). The facility operates during standard day-use hours (6 a.m. - 10 p.m.), and the campground office can be reached at 715-739-6334 for additional information. As always, practice clean boat protocols before launching to help protect the lake ecosystem.
