The Caddo River Drop Off provides convenient access to the Caddo River, a large, headwater stream in the Ouachita Mountains of southwestern Arkansas. With a total length of 81.71 miles and an elevation drop of over 1,100 feet, the Caddo is a characteristic Ozark river featuring a mix of gentle pools and class I-II rapids. The average flow rate is 844 cubic feet per second, making it an ideal destination for kayakers, canoeists, and other small boaters.

The access site is part of the Caddo Drive Day Use area, a recreation site managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Amenities include a boat ramp, picnic facilities, and potential camping options. Nearby, the Caddo River Camping and Canoe Rental in Glenwood provides shuttle services and equipment rentals to help paddlers enjoy the river. The pavilion is situated on a tree-covered ridge that joins a bluff. Degray Lake encompasses 13,500 water acres, with 207 miles of shoreline and an average depth of 47 feet.
