About This Access Site
Camp Creek provides public access to the Seneca River arm of Lake Hartwell, a major 56,000-acre reservoir in the Piedmont region of South Carolina. Located near Pendleton in Anderson County, this U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility offers a dedicated boat launch for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The ramp is open year-round for boat launching, making it accessible for paddling adventures throughout the seasons.

Lake Hartwell is one of the nation's most popular Corps of Engineers lakes, offering calm, scenic water ideal for recreational paddling. The Seneca River arm provides a picturesque setting for exploring the lake's inlets and coves. Paddlers should note that the park facilities operate seasonally (April 1 – September 9), though the ramp itself remains available year-round. Nearby camping and cabin options are available at Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins, making this an excellent base for multi-day paddling trips.

Before launching, check current water conditions and lake levels, as these can affect paddling difficulty and access. With 34 boat ramps across Lake Hartwell, this location provides convenient access to one of the Southeast's premier paddling destinations.
