About This Access Site
Located in Blair County near the village of Canoe Creek (7 miles east of Hollidaysburg), this boat ramp provides access to Canoe Creek Lake, a 155-acre impoundment ideal for paddlers seeking a calm-water experience. The ramp is situated within Canoe Creek State Park and offers convenient parking, including ADA-accessible spaces near the boat rental concession. The area features a cement paved access with an ADA ramp, making it accessible for paddlers of various abilities.

All non-powered boats including canoes and kayaks must display valid state registration stickers. The lake is well-suited for recreational paddling, with electric motors the only motorized option allowed, keeping noise and disturbance minimal. Beyond paddling, the park offers over 8 miles of year-round trails through woodlands, wetlands, and meadows along the shoreline, making it a good destination for a full day of outdoor recreation.

To reach the site, take US Route 22 to Canoe Creek village, then turn north on Turkey Valley Road for a half-mile to the park entrance on the right. Be sure to read and follow all posted park rules before launching.
