Carbondale City Reservoir is a 135-acre lake located on the south side of Carbondale in Jackson County at Evergreen Park. The park is managed by the City of Carbondale and Carbondale Park District, with picnic shelter reservations available.

This is a no-gas-motor lake, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and electric motor users. Be aware that the boat launch is notably shallow, so plan your entry accordingly. The 135-acre reservoir provides a contained paddling environment suitable for recreational boating and fishing.
