About This Access Site
Carlisle Lake is a small, 22.2-acre freshwater lake located on the northwest edge of Onalaska in Lewis County, Washington. The public access point features a concrete boat ramp at the south end of the lake (identifiable by a large historic concrete smokestack). This is an ideal location for kayakers and canoeists seeking a calm, protected paddling environment. **Electric motors and non-motorized boats only are permitted**—no internal combustion engines are allowed.

The access area is well-developed with convenient amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and benches. A scenic 0.9-mile trail loops around most of the lake, making it a pleasant destination for both water and land recreation. Note that the park gate closes at dusk. The lake supports rainbow trout, coho salmon, and largemouth bass, making it popular with anglers. Shoreline access is good throughout the lake, which features some aquatic vegetation and historical stumps that provide interesting paddling scenery.
