About This Access Site
The Cayuta Lake public boat launch is located on the north end of the lake off Loch Heid Road in Alpine, Schuyler County. This concrete ramp provides reliable access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats, with a seasonal dock available during warmer months. The facility includes parking for 15 vehicles and trailers, making it suitable for groups or those towing boats.

Cayuta Lake (locally known as "Little Lake") is a small, calm water body ideal for paddling and recreational boating. Much of the shoreline is private property, so plan to enjoy the water from your boat rather than expecting extensive shoreline access. The launch area is situated near outdoor recreation opportunities, including proximity to Finger Lakes National Forest and several nearby campgrounds such as Blueberry Patch Campground for those planning overnight trips.

As with all public boat launches, please observe posted regulations, pack out your trash, and help maintain the facility for other users. The ramp is accessible via Cayutaville Road for those seeking directions.
