Cedar Bluff-Cove One is a boat ramp and access site located on the Smoky Hill River within the Cedar Bluff Reservoir in western Kansas. The reservoir, which is part of the Cedar Bluff Unit of the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program, provides good access for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters.
The boat ramp at Cedar Bluff-Cove One is one of three usable boat ramps around the reservoir. Nearly the entire shoreline is accessible, and there is a covered, handicap-accessible fishing dock nearby. The reservoir is open 24 hours and is known for its walleye, crappie, white bass, channel catfish, and wiper populations. Primitive camping opportunities are available on the reservoir's south shore at the Page Creek Area.
For paddlers, the Smoky Hill River through the Cedar Bluff Reservoir area is a relatively wide, slow-moving waterway, making it well-suited for casual kayaking and canoeing. Boaters will find good access and ample facilities to support their activities on the reservoir.
