The ramp is operational when lake elevation exceeds the end-of-ramp elevation, but boaters should allow an additional 3-4 feet of clearance for safe launching and retrieval. Lake access typically remains available through mid to late December before ice forms. Note that most boat ramps at Lake McConaughy are accessible without fees.
