Charity Access provides a boat ramp and parking area for launching onto the Niangua River, located approximately 2 miles east of Buffalo via Highway 32, then 1 mile north on Engle Lane and 0.25 mile east on Steelman Road. This access point serves the lower, primarily bass-fishing portion of the river and is a popular starting point for canoe and kayak floats.
The Niangua River offers scenic float trips with clear water, scenic bluffs, sandbars, and natural springs along the way. Numerous campsites line the riverbanks for overnight trips. Water levels vary seasonally—the river is typically floatable from Highway 32 downstream, though high-water conditions may allow access from as far upstream as Highway M. Be aware that this popular access point can become crowded during hot summer weekends, so plan accordingly if you prefer quieter conditions.
