About This Access Site
This public boat ramp provides convenient access to the Charles River in Boston, making it an ideal launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. The ramp accommodates various watercraft and supports recreational activities including paddling, boating, and fishing. The location offers roadside parking suitable for small trailers, allowing easy boat launches into the water.

The Charles River is an 80-mile winding waterway that offers diverse paddling opportunities throughout the region. From this Boston-area access point, paddlers can explore the river's scenic sections, though be aware that other high-traffic areas on the river (such as near rowing clubs) require speed restrictions. If planning a longer journey, note that the trip to Boston Harbor takes approximately one hour from upstream launch points.
