About This Access Site
Chase State Fishing Lake is a 109-acre impoundment located 1.5 miles west of Cottonwood Falls in the scenic Flint Hills of Chase County, Kansas. The lake features a boat ramp and dock facility, making it accessible for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. With a maximum depth of 45 feet, the lake offers adequate water for various paddling activities and is popular with anglers targeting channel catfish, flathead catfish, largemouth bass, walleye, and panfish species.

**Important Note for All Boaters:** Zebra mussels have been confirmed at Chase State Fishing Lake. Clean, drain, and dry your boat, equipment, and any live bait before leaving the lake to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species to other water bodies. The lake and surrounding Wildlife Area also permit hunting seasonally, so be aware of hunting seasons if visiting during fall and winter months. Vault toilets and parking are available at the site.
