Located near Mount Hope in Reno County, Cheney-Mr. D's provides boat ramp access to the North Fork Ninnescah River and Cheney Reservoir. This medium-sized river system drains a 900-square-mile watershed with an average flow of approximately 186 cubic feet per second and moderate gradient of 5.4 feet per mile. The reservoir itself is a substantial impoundment featuring roughly 9,500 acres of open water and 67 miles of shoreline, making it suitable for various watercraft types.
