Chestnut Neck Boat Yard provides a convenient access point to the Mullica River, a scenic estuarine waterway in Atlantic County. Located at 758 Old New York Road in Port Republic, this full-service facility is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat operators looking to explore the river and surrounding tidal marshes. The boat yard offers bait, tackle, and live bait supplies, making it a good stop for anglers. A daily ramp pass is required; if the facility is closed, you can deposit payment in a drop box at the Store Street door.

The Mullica River is a tidal estuary known for its shallow waters and rich brackish environment. Paddlers should be mindful of tidal conditions, as water depth can vary significantly between high and low tide. The area sits adjacent to the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve and is near the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife observation and exploring pristine coastal habitat. The boat yard operates seven days a week (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and provides additional services including boat storage, mechanical work, and a 25-ton travel lift if needed.
