Chief Miwaleta Park offers year-round boat ramp access to the 640-acre Galesville Reservoir on Cow Creek, located eight miles east of I-5 near Days Creek. The developed ramp features ample parking, floating docks, and a dedicated restroom facility, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The site is easily accessible via any passenger vehicle on Upper Cow Creek Road (7.7 miles east from I-5).
The park provides excellent amenities for a full day of water-based recreation, including a day-use area with pavilion, picnic tables with grills, playground, restrooms, drinking water, and shower facilities. There are no day-use fees for accessing the ramp. In addition to paddling and boating, the reservoir is popular for fishing and swimming. The park also serves as a base for exploring the surrounding public lands and the scenic Grave Creek to Marial Back Country Byway through the Siskiyou Mountains.
