**What to Know Before You Go:** This access serves paddlers and boaters exploring the scenic Dix River Gorge area. If floating downstream toward High Bridge, stay alert for the dangerous low-head dam at Lock and Dam 7 and work toward the right bank to avoid it. Live bait is not permitted once you enter the Dix River. The nearby Camp Nelson National Monument offers additional recreational opportunities in the area.
