Located off Causeway Road in Vassalboro, the China Lake West Basin ramp provides convenient access to the west side of China Lake. This is a one-lane concrete ramp measuring 20 feet wide and 57 feet long with a 13.5% grade, suitable for launching boats up to 20 feet. The ramp includes a floating dock and offers 11 parking spaces for rigs and vehicles, along with toilet facilities on-site.
This access point is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats looking to explore the western basin of China Lake near the lake's outlet. The improved facilities and parking make it a straightforward launch location for day trips and recreational paddling.
