About This Access Site
The Chippewa Rod & Gun Club provides public access to Lake Wissota via a well-maintained concrete boat ramp located on the west side of the lake near 74th Ave (County I area) in Chippewa Falls. The ramp is 12 feet wide with a gentle slope, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. This is a private facility that charges a daily user fee ($5 as of the last update) and offers a pit toilet for public use.

**Important Note:** As of January 1st, 2026, the Chippewa Rod & Gun Club will no longer operate or maintain this boat landing. Boaters and paddlers should verify current access status and any alternative launch locations before planning a trip to this area. Contact local authorities or the Wisconsin DNR for updated information on public access points to Lake Wissota.
