About This Access Site
The Citico boat ramp provides access to Tellico Lake, part of the Little Tennessee River system in Monroe County, Tennessee. This area is known for its ample opportunities for fishing, hiking, and backcountry experiences, with over 20,000 acres of designated wilderness nearby.

The boat ramp is a free public access point, one of fourteen such ramps on Tellico Lake. The lake itself is fed by the Little Tennessee River, a scenic and popular waterway for paddlers and boaters. Typical water levels and flows on the lake can accommodate a variety of small watercraft, from kayaks and canoes to motorboats.

Nearby campgrounds like Jake Best and Abram's Creek offer convenient options for those looking to extend their time on the water. Paddlers and anglers will find a serene, natural setting at the Citico access point, with opportunities to explore the lake's many coves and inlets. Those seeking more amenities can also access the lake at one of the three commercial boat ramps available to the public for a fee.
