Located in Talbot County on Maryland's Eastern Bay, Claiborne Landing offers excellent access to the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding waters. The facility features a paved boat ramp, large parking area, two beaches, a fishing pier, and an old jetty—making it a well-equipped launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and powerboaters. The setting provides good water views and opportunities to explore the shallow, protected waters of Eastern Bay as well as access to nearby paddling destinations.
The landing includes both a paved ramp and a soft launch area for smaller boats and paddlers. Note that while the paved ramp area is wheelchair-accessible, the soft launch and beaches are not. A nearby attraction is Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, a 2,285-acre island sanctuary located at the confluence of the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay, offering excellent paddling and wildlife viewing opportunities. Keep pets leashed and check current conditions before launching, as water and navigation conditions can vary seasonally.
